Amidst the stunning mountains of China’s Northwest Sichuan Province sits Rangtang County, a remote Tibetan settlement steeped in ancient wisdom and tradition. Here, in the poverty-stricken villages, children have no opportunities to get educated and hope is scarce. Here also, the Jonang Sect of Tibetan Buddhism thrives, Jianyang Lezhu Rinpoche, the 47th inheritor of the Jonang sect, founded an intangible cultural heritage institute to bring the sacred teachings to the local children. Through learning Thangka painting, Tibetan embroidery, Tibetan medicine, etc in the Institute, the young people have forged a new path in life with incredible transformation, and the power of tradition breathes new life into the community.
